What a week!

Wow, This is how I felt:

After a week of having a dripping nose, a nasty cough, and feeling short of breath, I decided to go to the doctors. After two hours, x-rays, and some testing, he told me that I had bronchitis and asthma. Well that news would have been alright, but the next day I started my finals and I was hoping that I would be feeling better. Bad news was, I wasn't. I felt horrible going to school because one of my friends has lukemia and he has a low immune system. I couldn't concentrate, talk, or stop coughing, and one of my professors kept asking me questions. When I finished my day I came home to this:

S had been playing on the monkey bars at school and had fallen off. They tried to get a hold of me, but unfortunately my phone was dead. Kevin was at work and couldn't come home. My sister was not home to help. Luckily Kevin's mom was at home and she came and got Sariah. Poor Sariah, I felt so bad that I was not there for her. She was a brave little toaster.
When she got to the doctors she was informed that she had fractured her arm. After five days the swelling should go down and she can get a "purple" cast. The only thing she complained about was how she was going to be embarrased to go to school. She did not want people asking her what had happened (In case you do not know my children, they do not like attention on themselves).
Good news is that she has not had much pain, I am almost done with finals, and I have angels that love me and pick up my slack when I am not able to. Thanks Kevin, Ruth, Cami, and Lindsey- I love you guys!

Oh no - that is not very fun for her, poor girl. When she gets her cast she will be a hit - everyone will want to sign her cast. FYI - ask if they have the waterproof casting material (it is the inside stuff) it allows them to get their casts wet, and when I say wet, I mean soaked, as in swimming. When my boys broke their arms I loved that they could swim, take showers, all without worrying about water.
Anyway, I am sorry that you were sick and S is having to do without an arm, that is miserable.

Hey Heidi,
Does the cast get stinky if you get it wet? Man, her temp. cast was stinky when we took it off, and that was only four days.

poor sariah. when tolkien broke his arm we got a waterproof cast, but the doctor said IF you get it wet to make sure you dry it with a blow dryer or it would stink. I ended up just keeping it out of the bath with a grocery sack rubberbanded around the top.

p.s. someone is missing in your main Jones family photo!
