Some friends introduced to a fun family tradition about five years ago, and we have been doing it ever since. The Saturday after Thanksgiving we go up to the Uintas and cut down a Christmas tree. After that we go sledding and eat hot chocolate and doughnuts.

This year we arrived at the Uintas and the roads were covered with ice. There was an eight car pile-up and an RV tipped on it's side. My mom and sister-in-law got so nervous that they turned around and went home. We kept trudging, but all was well, we were safe. We found the most beautiful Christmas tree ever. Well at least I think so. Freda (my sister-in-law), Cami (my tiwn), and Heidi (my cousin), all found beautiful trees too. We had so much fun. If anyone wants to come next year, just let us know. This is one of our fondest traditions.

Oh, I will post a picture of our tree on its own post.

Beautiful tree! Ours is up, just not decorated yet. But you know, I think mine is the most beautiful tree that was standing there all alone!!! Just kidding. I think all of us found very beautiful trees. Thanks for introducing us to a new tradition and letting us tag along with you. we had a lot of fun.

... If I wasn't so allergic to pine. I remember going with my Dad one year to cut a tree. It was a lot of fun. Oh well, I still love our artificial tree and it doesn't make me sick!
